Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park
Arrival at the Nairobi intentional airport, pick up by a tour guide from Wild Rwanda Safaris will be waiting for your arrival and transfer to Amboseli National Park. The park is popular for its incredible scenery and the big game including game like lions, elephants and cheetahs the main attractions.
You will arrive in time for lunch. Enjoy an afternoon game drive for over 4 hours in the park. Dinner and overnight at Kibo Safari Camp
Day 2: Full day Amboseli National Park
Explore the Amboseli national park on an early morning and afternoon game drives. If interested in culture, an encounter directly with the Masai people can be arranged. Dinner and overnight at Kibo Safari Camp
Day 3: Transfer from Amboseli – Lake Nakuru
Have a morning breakfast at your hotel and be ready to drive off for Lake Nakuru reaching in time for evening game drive. Explore the Lake Nakuru national park on an evening game drive occupying 180 sq km. Wildlife in the park includes buffaloes, warthogs, waterbuck, reedbucks, and some sights of leopard. Other wildlife include the White and black rhinos which were introduced in the park towards the southern end. The park has also a hub for more than 400 species residing in this park. Dinner and overnight at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge
Day 4: Transfer to Masai Mara National Park
Wake up early for breakfast and set off with your guide for Masai Mara Game Reserve. The Masai Mara reserve comprises of 1510 sq km of wide-open savannah landscapes. Kenya’s Mara offers wildlife viewing in abundance and is typically an adventure seekers paradise – the park offers over 450 animal species including guaranteed views of lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, different types of elephant and antelopes. For the month of July and August Mara offers spectacular annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti in Tanzania which cross in search of water and pasture. It’s such a dramatic adventure watching as the savanna predators prove a threat for the wildebeest including the lion, cheetah, wild dog,hyena, vultures and jackals. Day 5 & 6: Masai Mara National Park
For 2 days you will explore and enjoy the Mara wildlife dramas, absorb the beautiful Mara sunset on a clear day from your hotel. Dinner and overnight at Mara Simba Lodge
Day 7: Transfer to Lake Naivasha – Nairobi
Take breakfast from your hotel and get ready to drive off for Lake Naivasha. You will be welcomed by arrival lunch after which head out to Lake Naivasha for a boat ride to explore the lake. Drive off to Nairobi after the boatride with drop off at the airport to catch your departure flight to Kigali international part in Rwanda.
Our company tour guide / airport pickup van will be waiting for your arrival in Rwanda and transfer you to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Kigali City tour to Gisozi Genocide site
Tour guide from Wild Rwanda Safaris will meet you up by 9:00 am for a grand Kigali city tour to the Kigali genocide memorial site, visit he Kimoronko fresh fruit market in Kigali, visit the African craft villages and tour Kigali city. Dinner and overnight in Kigali.
Day 9: Pick up from Kigali – Transfer to Bwindi National Park
This tour starts from Kigali opting for cheaper gorilla tracking in Bwindi national park. Your guide will be at your hotel or at the Kigali international airport on arrival and set off for Bwindi national park. With Your East African Visas you will ably cross into Uganda from Rwanda via the Katuna border and drive into Bwindi forest national park. Today you will have an early rest for the gorilla trekking adventure for the next day. Dinner and Overnight at Rushaga Gorilla Camp / Bakiga Lodge / Bwindi jungle lodge (Midrange) and Gorilla Forest Lodge / Chameleon Hill Lodge (Luxury) and Mahogany Springs Lodge / Buhoma Lodge (Super Luxury)
Day 10: Mountain Gorilla Trekking – Visit Batwa Pygmies
Wake up early for a quick breakfast and drive to Bwindi forest park office where all trackers gathers for a briefing on how the gorilla trekking experience is run. You have a chance to ask questions and there which have the chance to ask for a simple, medium or tough group. Head guides lead you to the gorillas and the time spent to find your group is unpredictable especially for the tough groups. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable forest offers a 100% chance to see a family of mountain gorillas in Uganda.
Once you meet your group, you will spend 1 hour watching the mountain gorillas which comprise of silverbacks, mothers, babies, juveniles and it’s such a beautiful experience.
Return back to the briefing point where your guide will be waiting to drive back to your hotel for lunch. Dinner and Overnight at Rushaga Gorilla Camp / Bakiga Lodge / Bwindi jungle lodge (Midrange) and Gorilla Forest Lodge / Chameleon Hill Lodge (Luxury) and Mahogany Springs Lodge / Buhoma Lodge (Super Luxury)
Day 11: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi – Boat ride in lake Bunyonyi and visit the Island
Wake up to the beautiful views of lake Bunyonyi and relax at your hotel, later head out for a boat ride on lake Kivu, visit the different islands and you enjoy the beautiful views. Dinner and overnight at Arcadia Cottages
Day 12: Departure
Today is your last day and if traveling to Kampala you will set off early so you can catch your departure flight and if departing via Kigali, it’s a shorter drive to the airport.
