Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pickup from Kigali Hotel – Visit genocide – Transfer to Bwindi National Park
Our representative will pick you up from your hotel after breakfast and drive to Kigali for a city tour, visit the Gisozi genocide memorial center to learn about the tragedy that left over 800,000 innocent people dead and many others displaced. You will later have your lunch in Kigali city and cross Rwanda’s boarders to Uganda through Gatuna Border and head to Bwindi National park. This journey could take you about 3hours arriving in the evening hours for dinner and overnight at Ichumbi Gorilla lodge.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking – Transfer to Kigali – Fly to Nairobi
After a delicious breakfast at the lodge, you will drive to the at park headquartersjoin other visitors for a briefing on gorilla tracking guidelines and set off to the forest for this incredible wild experience. The trek lasts for 2 to 8 hours depending on the movement and location of gorillas. You will have a full hour with the Gorillas from the time you meet them as you study their behavior and taking matchless pictures with them for memories. Return to the lodge later for lunch and then transfer back to Kigali, dinner and overnight at Hotel des Mille Collin, Kigali Serena Hotel or Chez Lando Hotel.
Day 3: Pickup from Nairobi – Transfer to Masai Mara National Park
After your breakfast at the hotel this day, you will take a flight to Nairobi at Kigali International airport. Have lunch at Nairobi Serena Hotel or Sankara Nairobi on arrival, relax and spend a night at the same hotel.
Day 4: Full Day Masai Mara National Park
Early in the morning after breakfast, depart from Nairobi and drive to Masai Mara national reservefor the thrilling morninggame drive. Look out for the big five including the Lions, Elephants, Buffaloes, Rhinos, Leopards. The Cheetahs, Masai giraffes, zebras, Elands and of course the wildebeests and so many birds will leave your mind with great memories. Return to the lodge for lunch and later return for evening game drive to see some of those animals you could have missed in the morning. Dinner and overnight stay at Mara Siria Tented Camp, Kicheche Bush Camp or Mara Sopa Lodge.
Day 5: Masai Mara – Transfer to Nairobi
Have breakfast at the lodge and later transfer to Nairobi Airport for your flight marking the end of your 5-day safari in Rwanda, Uganda and Kenya.
